Bergen hosts a wide variety of activities ranging from the fine arts to lively football matches at Brann Stadium. The city has one of the world’s oldest symphony orchestras, a professional ballet company, an exciting jazz and blues scene, repertory theatres, imaginative revues and a wide choice of festivals.
Big, delicate and well-appointed rooms, many of them overlooking the harbor, fish market, Fløyen and the city mountains. The hotel is done in a maritime style that reflects its location and the maritime culture Bergen is known for.
Enjoy our standard rooms from 10 to 12 m2. All rooms include shower or bathtub as well as television, trouser press and spacious wardrobes.
Beyer'en Restaurant: Bergen has always been influenced by the great world -- it was our harbor the first spices arrived to when entering the country, and the first documented trails after import of wine- and spirits exists only in Bergen. The city has been a meeting point for farmers throughout the districts wishing to sell their products.
Considering Bergen's location it is a matter of course to buy and evolve our local produce and at the same time introduce the modern kitchen. We use mainly local produce, but will also look internationally for good products. Beyer'en Bar & Restaurant takes basis in good Norwegian food combined with modern rustic flavours with inspiration from the French and British kitchen. Rustic flavours // Local produce // Honest food
Some Tripadvisor comments:
“The location of the Hotel is basic in the center of the city. Everything is almost right outside the door. 2-5 min walk from Fløien, Bryggen and Fishmarket.
The staff at the Hotel are so Kindly and helpful. I get a good feeling when i asked them for help. Breakfast was good, be early or late then it is good Place at the tables :) The rooms are bigger than the other Hotel's in Bergen so I could stay and relax at the room With Friends who came to visit me. “We didn't need to see the sights since we live 15 minutes from the hotel, so this was the perfect getaway stay. But going outside means that you are in the middle of everything the minute you put your feet out the door:-) I can recommend this hotel to everyone looking for central comfort in Bergen!”
“First Hotel Marin is always my first choice in Bergen. Nice people, best service and very nice and large rooms. In the middle of the center and close to "FLØIEN". Great view over entire Bergen. Excellent restaurant.”
“Great location near the 'harbour" just a stones throw from all the restaurants and cafes and bars. Clean & impressive hotel on the outside, and just as impressive on the inside. I had an excellent spacious room with a fantastic immaculately clean bathroom....Check in receptionist was awesome and so helpful with great impeccable manners....a real credit to the hotel (evening of 25 September). I would definitely recommend this hotel and would have no issues staying here again.”
“Superb location, on a quiet street just two short blocks from the Hanseatic Museum, Fish Market, and Harbor. Immensely broad corridors, huge bathroom and tremendously capacious room with excellent furnishings and bed. The woman in charge of the breakfast room was tremendous, and is clearly destined for greater responsibilities. Desk staff were attentive and courteous, room was immaculate. Great breakfast buffet. Fun place to meet other guests. Very hard to imagine going anywhere else to stay while visiting Bergen.”
“Can't get any closer to all the good stuff; museums, Bryggen, restaurants everything right here, even train station is close. Breakfast is very good and staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean and spacious. Good value for Norway!”
